mad moon rising

Finally!
There are poetry magnets on our fridge!
I have been thinking about them for years - and now that they have arrived - well, it seems they have a bit to say....
It's a full moon tomorrow - he says (we have started a new communication - via our magnets) that he loves my mad moons. He is being generous!
Tomorrow those words are likely to be arranged into something else....entirely!

I visited a friend today (in this realm and the other) and listened to the voice and offerings of Eve Ensler.
I took note of my pulse rate and the heaviness of my brow - the nodding of my head, and thought - think on this, keep it, don't turn the page too quickly.

Do you have those moments? When you are moved or angered or inspired, driven and excited and you know that if you don't take the essence of that and move it into your life permanently - actively, then the day will close, the heart rate will level, the page will turn....

What do you do with those moments?

  1. wow i can't wait to see the combinations you'll start doing with the frigo poetry!! post some :)
i know what you mean with these moments... when i'm completely conscious that i'm living something totally magic and special and unique...then what happens to me most of times is that at the same time i get sad already thinking that this moment will finish! so in 2012 i'm working in trying to eliminate that thought and just enjoy the moment and try to keep it bright in my memory.

  2. I've always thought these fridge poetry magnets looked fun! I embrace all the moments, especially the sad/bad ones, because I know it shall pass and I shall be stronger and I'm probably going to learn one hell of a lesson. Hasn't failed me yet!

yes! right now! yesterday and today.

what do i do with them?

i roll them around on my tongue as though they are flavors i can not quite understand. i try to see off to the sides of them and understand. i try to arrive in the center of their being to truly see what makes them. this is not so easy.

fridge poetry is exciting. to take a word. like. this. one word. and to realize the potential of one. word. it is incredible really. as it is with blackout poetry. it causes me to look at language more closely.
